This Privacy Policy explains how Qove Team ("Qove", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Qove mobile application and related services (the "Service").

1) Summary of the Service

Qove enhances your culinary journey as a food inventory app for your kitchen. You can organize and manage your pantry by photographing ingredients, tagging them with details such as opening and expiration dates, receiving expiration reminders, categorizing usage, and archiving items to streamline your cooking and reduce waste.

2) Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

A. Information you provide to us

  • Account information: name, username, email address.
  • Customer support: information you include in messages to us (e.g., support requests, troubleshooting details, and any attachments you choose to provide).
  • Content you choose to add: pantry item details you enter (e.g., opening date, expiration date, category notes).

B. Information collected automatically

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, language settings, unique device identifiers (or similar identifiers), and app version.
  • Usage data/analytics: interactions with the app, feature usage, and performance data.
  • Crash logs: diagnostic information to help us fix errors and improve stability.
  • Location information (only if you allow it): precise or approximate location derived from your device settings and permissions.

C. Cookies and similar technologies

If any part of the Service is delivered through web-based components (for example, sign-in or embedded web views), we may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies (which may include web beacons/pixels) for authentication, preferences, and basic measurement. You can manage cookies through your device or browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect sign-in and preference features.

3) Photos, Face Data, and Biometric Information

  • Qove does not perform facial recognition, create biometric templates, or infer biometric identifiers.
  • Photos you choose to use in Qove are used to help you manage your food inventory (e.g., associating an image with an item).
  • Unless you choose to upload content for optional server processing (see Section 4), images are stored locally on your device by default, subject to your device and backup settings.
  • We do not use your photos for advertising or marketing, and we do not use your photos to train third-party models.

4) Optional AI-Assisted Processing (If You Choose to Use It)

Some features may offer optional AI-assisted processing to help you extract or generate information from images or text you provide (for example, identifying an ingredient name from a photo, suggesting categories, or generating item details). If you choose to use these features:

  • What is processed: the image(s) or text you explicitly submit for processing.
  • Where it is processed: on Qove Team-controlled servers (our own infrastructure).
  • Sharing: we do not share the submitted image/text or generated results with any third party for this processing, and we do not sell it.
  • Retention: the submitted image/text and generated output are processed transiently and deleted as soon as processing is completed (typically immediately after the result is returned).
  • User control: you decide whether to upload content and whether to use AI-assisted features; you can use Qove without uploading content for AI processing.

5) How We Use Information

  • Provide and maintain the Service (including account creation, sign-in, reminders, and core functionality).
  • Personalize your experience (e.g., preferences and app settings).
  • Improve the Service (analytics, debugging, feature development, and performance monitoring).
  • Security, fraud prevention, and abuse protection.
  • Customer support and communications.
  • Compliance with legal obligations and enforcement of our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

6) How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information only as described below, and we aim to limit disclosure to the minimum necessary:

  • With your consent: when you direct us or give explicit permission.
  • Service providers (processors): trusted vendors under contract, used only to operate the Service.
  • Legal requirements and protection of rights: to comply with law or protect the Service, users, or rights.
  • Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or asset sale.

7) International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.

  • Usage analytics: retained for up to 12 months.
  • Customer support records: retained for up to 6 months.

10) Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where applicable. To exercise your rights, email cerenaydan06@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

Location permissions can be managed through your device settings. You can also control certain data collection through your device where supported.

11) Children

The Service is not directed to children under 17, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12) Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party services (for example, app stores or platform services) that process information independently under their own privacy policies. This Privacy Policy covers only Qove Team's processing activities for the Service.

13) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above when changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
